Beta Glucan 750 mg tablet (soluble dietary fibre supplement from oats or yeast — not a pharmaceutical medicine)

Beta-glucans might lower blood cholesterol by preventing the absorption of cholesterol from food in the stomach and intestines, when it is taken by mouth. When given by injection, beta-glucans might stimulate the immune system by increasing chemicals which prevent infections.

Take beta glucan at a different time from other medicines (at least 1–2 hours apart) to avoid reducing their absorption. Diabetic patients should monitor blood sugar — beta glucan can modestly lower blood sugar levels. Consult your doctor before starting if you have any significant medical condition or are on medication.
