Rivaroxaban 20 mg tablet (direct oral anticoagulant — factor Xa inhibitor)

Used to prevent stroke and blood clots in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation (irregular heartbeat), and to treat deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (blood clots in legs and lungs). Also used for prevention of cardiovascular events in stable coronary or peripheral artery disease (in combination with aspirin).

Do not use in active significant bleeding, severe liver disease with coagulopathy, or prosthetic heart valves. Use with extreme caution alongside other anticoagulants or antiplatelet agents. Tell all doctors and dentists you are on this medicine before any procedure or surgery. No routine INR monitoring needed, but kidney function should be checked periodically.
