Rivaroxaban 15 mg tablet (direct oral anticoagulant — factor Xa inhibitor)Uses & Indications
Used during the treatment phase of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (blood clots in the leg and lungs). The 15 mg twice-daily dose is the acute treatment dose for the first 21 days of DVT/PE treatment. Also used in atrial fibrillation risk reduction in some protocols.Contraindications & Warnings
Do not use in active significant bleeding, severe liver disease with coagulopathy, or prosthetic mechanical heart valves. Avoid with other anticoagulants without specific medical direction.
