Used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and chronic heart failure. At 2.5 mg, this is the starting or lowest dose — particularly used when initiating therapy in elderly patients or those with heart failure, where a very gradual start is required. Nebivolol is unique among beta-blockers for also stimulating nitric oxide release, adding vasodilatory benefit.Contraindications & Warnings
Do not use in severe asthma, COPD, cardiogenic shock, severe bradycardia, or severe heart block. Must not be stopped abruptly. Use with caution in diabetes. Avoid in pregnancy.
