Used when initiating therapy in patients with low blood pressure, switching from ACE inhibitors, or in elderly/frail patients. Reduces risk of death and hospitalisation from heart failure.Contraindications & Warnings
Must not be used within 36 hours of any ACE inhibitor. Not for use in pregnancy, history of angioedema with ACE inhibitor or ARB, or with aliskiren in diabetes or kidney disease. Specialist cardiology monitoring required.
