Used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). Telmisartan blocks angiotensin II receptors to relax blood vessels; Cilnidipine blocks both L-type and N-type calcium channels, providing blood vessel dilation with less reflex tachycardia and less ankle swelling than some other calcium channel blockers, and offers kidney protection in diabetic hypertensives.Contraindications & Warnings
Do not use in pregnancy or breastfeeding (telmisartan is harmful to the baby). Not with aliskiren in diabetes. Monitor potassium and kidney function. Inform your doctor of all other medicines.
