Used to prevent and treat blood clots in conditions including atrial fibrillation, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), pulmonary embolism, and patients with mechanical heart valves. Acenocoumarol has a shorter half-life than warfarin, allowing more flexible dose adjustments.Contraindications & Warnings
Not for use in active bleeding, peptic ulcer, severe liver or kidney disease, uncontrolled hypertension, or pregnancy (major risk of harm to the baby). Many medicines and foods (especially vitamin K-rich green vegetables — spinach, broccoli) interact significantly. Maintain a consistent diet and report all new medicines to your doctor.
