Used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). Cilnidipine's unique dual L-type and N-type calcium channel blocking action relaxes blood vessels while also reducing the reflex fast heart rate seen with some other calcium channel blockers. It may also reduce urinary protein, offering kidney protection in hypertensive patients with diabetes.Contraindications & Warnings
Use with caution in severe aortic stenosis or recent heart attack. Avoid grapefruit juice. Inform your doctor about all other medicines, particularly other antihypertensives. Not recommended in pregnancy.
