Used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and stable coronary artery disease. Also used in heart failure. Perindopril relaxes blood vessels by blocking the formation of angiotensin II, a substance that tightens blood vessels, thereby lowering blood pressure and reducing the heart's workload.Contraindications & Warnings
Do not use in pregnancy or breastfeeding, or with a history of angioedema from any ACE inhibitor. Not for bilateral renal artery stenosis. Avoid potassium supplements without monitoring. Monitor kidney function and potassium levels regularly. Tell your doctor about all medicines, especially NSAIDs, potassium-sparing diuretics, and lithium.
