Used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) when two medicines are needed. Olmesartan blocks angiotensin II receptors to relax blood vessels; Chlorthalidone is a long-acting thiazide-like diuretic that removes excess fluid. Chlorthalidone has a longer duration of action than hydrochlorothiazide.Contraindications & Warnings
Do not use in pregnancy or breastfeeding (olmesartan is harmful to the baby). Not for use in anuria (inability to urinate), severe kidney failure, or allergy to sulphonamide medicines. Monitor electrolytes (potassium, sodium) and kidney function regularly. Avoid lithium combination without monitoring.
