Used as add-on therapy for the prevention of angina (chest pain) in stable angina pectoris, when standard first-line antianginal medicines (beta-blockers, calcium channel blockers, nitrates) are insufficient or not tolerated. Trimetazidine improves heart cell energy use during reduced oxygen supply.Contraindications & Warnings
Do not use in Parkinson's disease, other movement disorders (tremor, restless legs syndrome), or severe kidney failure. Avoid in pregnancy and breastfeeding. For add-on use only alongside first-line antianginal therapy.
